Art the Clown Is Much More Sadistic And Ruthless In Terrifier 2

Damien Leone directed the horror slasher film ‘Terrifier,’ released in 2016, starring David Howard Thornton and Samantha Scaffidi. The film centres around a deranged killer clown hell-bent on murdering three girls and anyone who stands in his way on Halloween night. The film has incorporated all the successful clichés of horror such as a scary killer clown, Halloween night flee to save one’s own life, and perfectly timed jump scares. In 2021, fans can expect a sequel to the film, with the same director and much of the original cast.

    Adding action to the mix

Set up on Halloween night once again, the trailer follows a teenage girl and her younger brother, with the latter taking quite an interest in Art, the clown despite him being put down in the first film. However, the brother’s fears seem to come true with Art reappearing in the town of Miles County. The movie’s synopsis states that he has been resurrected somehow, answers to which the audience is likely to find after watching the film, and is now more determined than before. The film also seems to be packing in some action as we see Lauren LaVera’s character and Art fighting it out in one of the scenes where the former is, ironically, dressed like a badass angel.

    What to expect

Although there is no information on a final release date yet, the movie is speculated to release this year, after facing a delay from its initial release date of October 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Director Leone has made it clear that they most definitely have plans of creating a trilogy, perhaps add even more sequels. In an interview with a Spanish horror website, he said that being brought back to life has given Art an immense sense of confidence that makes him even more dangerous than in the first film. The makers have given it their best shot to make Art a ruthless and savage slayer and that the “third last of the movie is especially relentless and nuts!”
