It looks like September will be a busy month for record releases. Following Kane Brown’s announcement that “Different Man” would be available for purchase on September 9, Little Big Town stated that “Mr. Sun” will be released on September 16. Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild described “Mr. Sun” as “deliberately an emotional record that holds hands nicely with our last album, Nightfall.” Mr. Sun “touches on heartbreak and letting go, yet it’s full of light and love.” Mr. Sun “is centred on brighter days ahead, the value of friendships and family.”
Compared to Little Big Town’s previous albums, “Mr. Sun” had a unique beginning. The band’s love for each other and the music deepened when the pandemic stopped them from going on tour for the first time in 20 years. Members self-produced “Mr. Sun” as a result of the experience. “This album has a unique vibe. Making this record has been a collectively unparalleled experience, according to Phillip Sweet. “Life is brief, and we should enjoy it as much as possible by loving those who are close to us and ourselves. Throughout, I was grateful for another trip around the sun.
“Mr. Sun” consists of 16 songs, 13 of which were written or co-authored by one or more Little Big Town members. The songs were written by 33 composers from 20 different states, some of whom had previously collaborated with the harmony-driven foursome and others with whom they had never before interacted.
Pre-orders for the book “Mr. Sun” are currently available, along with a baby blue vinyl version of the record and two hand-signed choices from the band: a limited edition, web-store edition tangerine vinyl that includes a 1111′′ art card and a CD that contains a 44′′ art card. A “Mr.” in sky blue. Barnes & Noble will be the only place to get “Sun” vinyl.
On Friday, Little Big Town will release “Rich Man,” a song that was written by Jimi Westbrook alone. The new CMT television series “CMT Summer Camp,” which debuts on Thursday, August 12 at 9 p.m. and 8 c., will also be introduced by Little Big Town. In the hour-long programme, both brand-new songs and some of LBT’s biggest hits are performed.

Little Big Town will perform at the campfire for the first time in a while since the most recent episode aired on July 22.
Little Big Town will play on the CMT Music Awards stage on April 11 as well. Jimmie Allen and Monica will join the ensemble as they perform “Pray” as a song. The event, which will debut on CBS, is presented by Anthony Mackie and Kelsea Ballerini and will have a tonne of outstanding performances. As part of its comeback, the popular CMT Campfire Sessions series will feature new performances by Jason Aldean, Little Big Town, Brandy Clark, and other artists.
The CMT Hot 20 Countdown “Holiday Salute to the Troops” gig kicks off the CMT summer lineup on Friday, July 2 at 9 a.m. ET. At the Patriotic Festival in Norfolk, Virginia, Kane Brown, Jon Pardi, and RaeLynn will all provide performances for the men and women of the U.S. Navy. The hosts are Ashley ShahAhmadi and Cody Alan. On Sunday, July 3, the special will be broadcast once again.
On Monday, July 4 , Alan will headline CMT Let Freedom Sing! Music City July 4th. Old Dominion performs throughout the 90-minute special, which also includes no-commercial coverage of Nashville’s fireworks spectacular backed by the Nashville Symphony.
On July 15, CMT Campfire Sessions Season 2 debuts with Aldean. Seven episodes of the new season include an all-star cast of singers who break down their biggest successes and reveal the inspirations behind them. Old Crow Medicine Show, Clark, Clay Walker & Tracy Lawrence, Old Dominion, Brett Eldredge, and Jon Pardi are all included in the season. The Sept. 2 show features a performance by Little Big Town during the 2022 CMT Music Awards week. A one-hour special featuring musicians playing country cover songs will be the season finale on September 9.
On Friday, August 12, Little Big Town will play exclusively for CMT Summer Camp. At Reynolds Lake Oconee in Greensboro, Georgia’s Sandy Creek Barn Amphitheater, the event was captured on camera.
