    Night Of The Animated Dead Teaser OUT NOW!

    With Night of the Animated Dead, George A. Romero’s horror classic Night of the Living Dead gets an animated adaptation, and IGN has finally premiered the official teaser.

    According to the news release, Night of the Animated Dead, produced by The Long Game in collaboration with Hemisphere Entertainment, is an animated rendition of the 1968 horror classic that incorporates never-before-seen, exclusive animated segments not featured in the live-action picture.

    This appears to be a very close reproduction of Romero’s film, albeit in colour this time, with the addition of unique animated moments not seen in the 1968 horror classic. Continue reading for additional details surrounding this film, and watch the trailer below!

    Night of the Animated Dead will be released digitally on September 21st, followed by a DVD and Blu-ray Combo Pack release on October 5th.

    The movie’s storyline is as follows. Barbara and Johnny are visiting their father’s grave in a secluded, old Pennsylvania cemetery when they are unexpectedly attacked by zombies in Night of the Animated Dead. Barbara runs to an abandoned farmhouse, where she meets stranded driver Ben and four local survivors hiding in the cellar. The party must work together to stay alive as a horde of zombies approaches. They also have to simultaneously confront their own fears and biases.

    Demente Animation Studio provided the animation services. George A. Romero and John Russo wrote the original Night of the Living Dead. Michael J. Luisi, p.g.a. produced and Jason Axinn directed Night of the Animated Dead.

    Josh Duhamel portrays Harry Cooper, Dulé Hill portrays Ben, Katharine Isabelle portrays Barbara, James Roday Rodriguez portrays Tom, KateeSackhoff portrays Judy, Will Sasso portrays Sheriff McClelland, Johnny is played by Jimmi Simpson and Nancy Travis plays Helen Cooper, rounding out the voice cast.
