    A college guy from California seeks approval from his girlfriend’s father, a bar owner and the author of a dating book titled, Most Guys are Losers, in the film by writer-director Eric Ustian, which is set over Thanksgiving weekend in Chicago. Lee Amalfi and Anthony Clementi produced the film, which was exec produced by Ustian, Mark Berzins, Greg Stubblefield, and Dan Ustian, with associate producers Maximilian Bustamante and Yuly Springer.

    Gravitas Ventures, a distributor of independent movies and documentaries formed in 2006 and recently sold to multi-platform media business Anthem Sports & Entertainment, has announced the establishment of Gravitas Premiere, a new theatrical distribution label. Michael Lembeck’s Queen Bees; Gabriela Cowperthwaite’s Our Friend, starring Casey Affleck, Dakota Johnson, and Jason Segel; Stanley Tong’s Vanguard, starring Jackie Chan; and Andy Tennant’s The Secret: Dare to Dream, starring Katie Holmes are among the company’s recent releases.

    Most Guys Are Losers was negotiated by Rogalsky on behalf of Gravitas Ventures, with Ustian representing the directors.

Eric Ustian co-wrote, directed, and produced the film with Lene Amalfi, Anthony Clementi, and Mark Berzins.     Andy Buckley is most recognised for his role as David Wallace, Michael Scott’s employer in The Office (Steve Carell). Buckley reprises his role as a leading man in Most Guys Are Losers.
