    Vin Diesel assures that he is still committed to making Riddick 4: Furya and feels that when the time comes, the film will be shot in Australia. Riddick 4 is finally arriving, after a lengthy wait. It’s just a matter of getting the timing perfect.

    This is according to star Vin Diesel, who has been attempting to get the fourth instalment of the sci-fi franchise off the ground for a long time. The film’s official title is Furya, and the script has been in development since 2019. The actor claims they’re getting ready to shoot. He’s also gushed about the writing and hinted at a potential new game in the franchise.

    Riddick 4: Furya will be the series’ fourth instalment. Pitch Black, the first film in the trilogy, was released in 2000, when Vin Diesel was still trying to make a name for himself in Hollywood. While the film was not a huge hit, a sequel, The Chronicles of Riddick, was made in 2004 with a much greater budget. It did not do well commercially, generating only $107 million worldwide against a large budget of almost $120 million. Regardless, Diesel was able to get a third film, Riddick, created. It did well when it was released in 2013, grossing $94 million on a $38 million budget.

    To date, David Twohy has directed all of the films in the series. When the time comes, he will return for Riddick 4: Furya. Escape from Butcher Bay, a video game set inside the series that was released in 2004. In 2009, another game called Assault On Dark Athena was launched. Given the popularity of video games in current entertainment, it is highly likely that they will combine the fourth film with another game. Diesel implied that this is a possibility.

    Diesel asserted that the script was ready and chapter 4 is definitely coming. The shooting is set to take place in Australia and we can’t wait to see the finished result!
