Stephen King Makes A Surprise Tweet

Here at Marvelous Videos, we adore shark-themed horror films. We aren’t the only ones, though. Stephen King, the best-selling author and proven national treasure, appears to have a sweet spot for shark-themed horror as well. He made his offer on Twitter earlier today:

He stated that he could definitely use another SHARKNADO movie. He says that SHARKNADO: THE VATICAN comes to mind. Or, to keep the religious theme going, SHARKNADO EXORCISM.

We have to wonder if King’s desire to combine shark-horror and religious-horror clichés has anything to do with the Noah’s Shark trailer that we released earlier this week. Or perhaps someone reminded him of Shark Exorcist, which was released in 2015. Below are the trailers and synopses for both films.

In Noah’s Shark, the plot follows ateleevangelistwho is on the hunt for fame and his film crew set out to uncover the fabled Noah’s Ark, only to discover it is guarded by an ancient curse and a prehistoric great white shark.

In Shark Exorcist, when a satanic nun calls the devil to possess a great white shark, she unleashes pure hell.

Stephen King is a horror, supernatural fiction, thriller, crime, science fiction, and fantasy author from the United States. More than 350 million copies of his books have been published, and many have been converted into films, television shows, miniseries, and comic comics. King has written 63 novels and five non-fiction books. He’s also authored almost 200 short stories, the majority of which have appeared in anthologies. Keeping all this in mind, we might be in for a pleasant surprise!

Beginning in 2013, Syfy released a series of catastrophe horror comedy science-fiction films titled Sharknado. In 2018, the sixth film in the series was released, bringing the series to a close. It has since been adapted into video games and comic books, as well as a 2015 spin-off film, Sharknado: Heart of Sharkness.
