Neil Marshall is now working on THE LAIR, a new horror film starring new nightmarish creatures called “Ravagers”!
The Lair, a new horror-action thriller written and directed by Neil Marshall, will star Jonathan Howard, Charlotte Kirk, and Jamie Bamber.Leon Ockenden, Mark Strepan, Hadi Khanjanpour, Harry Taurasi, and newcomers Troy Alexander and Kibong Tanji round out the cast.
The movie follows a Sergeant Tom Hook who is in charge of locating Lt. Kate Sinclair, a Royal Air Force fighter pilot who was shot down in Afghanistan. Sinclair, hunted by insurgents, seeks safety in a long-abandoned hidden bunker, where he unwittingly releases the Ravagers, a lethal man-made biological weapon that is half-human, half-alien, and ravenous for human flesh. Hook and his squad, with the help of a few British SAS troops, must defend Sinclair from the insurgents and, more critically, the Ravagers, before they take over the area and possibly the entire planet.

On July 11th, principal photography began on location in Hungary. The film’s worldwide distribution is handled by Highland Film Group.

This film perfectly depicts the tone and intensity of his early work, as well as the gore and guts. The Lair, he believes, will appeal to horror and action movie enthusiasts alike.
