    The Geralt Of Rivia Will Be Back In Action This Winter – The Witcher Season 2!

    Season 2 of The Witcher will be released this winter, but first, we get a sneak peek at what’s in store. The season is about family, according to showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, as Geralt and Cirilla create a father-daughter connection.

    Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer, Freya Allan as Princess Cirilla, and more return in Season 2. The cast expands with the addition of Yasen Atour as Coen. Vereena is played by Agnes Bjorn, Lambert is played by Paul Bullion, Eskel is played by Basil Eidenbenz, Lydia is played by Aisha Fabienne Ross, Vesemir is played by Kim Bodnia, and  Francesca is played by Mecia Simson.

    We also learn that the season’s first episode will be based on the short story “A Grain of Truth,” which is the third narrative in The Last Wish. It is a Beauty and the Beast-style short story in which Geralt meets a man named Nivellen on his travel who has been cursed to wear a monster’s visage. The Witcher is based on the same-named book series by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski. It delves into the mythology of Geralt of Rivia and Princess Ciri, who are fated to meet.

    The Witcher’s second season will consist of eight episodes and will be released on December 17th. Below is a sneak peek at Season 2 of The Witcher as has been released.

    The plot follows the protagonist, Geralt of Rivia who brings Princess Cirilla to his childhood home of Kaer Morhen, convinced that Yennefer’s life was lost at the Battle of Sodden. While the Continent’s kings, humans, elves, and demons fight for supremacy on the outside, he must protect the girl from an even more terrifying threat: the unknown power she possesses within.

    We cannot wait to see what they have in store for us!
