Emi’s school staff, as well as the parents of her children, are outraged by her actions, and they summon her to a parent-teacher meeting in the evening of the day following the video’s widespread distribution.
Emi spends the day before the conference running errands, becoming increasingly angry with Romanian society’s sexist, nationalist, and consumerist characteristics, as well as the additional social strains imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic’s impacts.
