And Just Like That… (marketed as And Just Like That: A New Chapter of Sex and the City) is an upcoming American comedy-drama television series. It is a 10-episode sequel of Sex and the City and executive produced by Parker, Davis, Nixon and Michael Patrick King.
The original series was based on characters from Candace Bushnell’s 1996 book of the same title. Created by Darren Star, it ran for six seasons between 1998 and 2004 and was then spun into two follow-up films. It also inspired the 2013-14 prequel series “The Carrie Diaries” from Amy B. Harris, who was a writer and co-producer on “Sex and the City.”
The new series will bring back Sarah Jessica Parker as Carrie Bradshaw, Cynthia Nixon as Miranda Hobbes, and Kristin Davis as Charlotte York as they navigate the journey from the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 30s to the even more complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s.” That transition to their fifty something-and-fabulous lives is already striking a nerve among fans, critics and the show’s stars.
