‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid’ is an upcoming animated series based on the book series of the same name coming to Disney+. Wimpy Kid are the journals of two teenager Greg and Rodrick, who are two brothers and are always at odds with each other and rarely ever get along. Greg Heffley, is a scrawny middle-schooler who illustrates his life in a diary with simple drawings, daily adventures, and his point of view on challenges he faces at middle school while enduring adolescence strife. In contrast to Greg, Rowley just breezes through life without any hardship and just seems to be successful without too much effort.
Despite the name of the series, Greg has a tendency to argue that his book is a journal, not a diary, but we all know the truth. Fans of Diary of a Wimpy Kid would love to know that Disney announced another animated film, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules, coming to Disney+ in 2022.
