The Gateway is a mature criminal thriller about Parker played by Shea Whigham, a social worker who unwittingly becomes involved in a drug theft. Parker, a St. Louis social worker, is emotionally concerned in the well-being of the families on his caseload in THE GATEWAY.

Parker must work outside the system to keep the mother who is played by Olivia Munn in the movie and child played by Taegan Burns, safe when one of the families is threatened. This happens when the father who is played by Zach Avery gets freed from prison and re-joins his gang.

Parker goes above and beyond the call of duty to safeguard the safety and well-being of people engaged in his cases. Of course, things don’t always turn out well and the single mother is lured into a life of drugs and crime.
