Hopefuls hoped long and hard, and their hopes have been realized! A second season of When Hope Calls is finally happening! When Hope Calls is an American drama tv series which is full of drama, western, family, and romance. When Hope Calls is a spinoff series of When Calls the Heart, the popular period series that airs on Hallmark Channel.
The original series is primarily based on the Canadian Westbook series by Janette Oke. It centres on the lives of orphan siblings Lillian (Morgan Kohan) as well as Grace (Jocelyn Hudon); who are reunited as adults after they were separated as children after the death of their parents.
Both went into an orphanage after the tragedy, but only Lillian was adopted. When Lillian finds her sister after years of searching, the two move back to Lillian’s adopted family‘s home in Brookfield to start their own orphanage.
At the end of the first season of the series When Hope Calls, we have seen that though Lillian finds the grandfather of Helen. Helen tries hard to remember the facts about her past that she needs to know to prove her identity. Lillian wants to see the reunion through, and Lillian turns to Sam as well as her friends in town for support.
We don’t know yet what’s happening in the new season of When Hope Calls but we do know that the two-part season premiere will bring back some familiar faces. In the World Premiere of “When Hope Calls: A Country Christmas, Part 1,” a Christmas festival worthy of Harper’s Bazaar happens in Brookfield as the community is one of three contenders in the magazine’s search for America’s #1 Country Christmas Town.
The entire town is preoccupied with creating the essence of Christmas for the photojournalist’s lens, though, behind the scenes, residents are not living the spirit of the season. In the midst of it all, a familiar face comes to town. Abigail (Lori Loughlin) and her son Cody (Carter Ryan) come to Brookfield to bring a troubled boy to Lillian’s orphanage.
In When Hope Calls: A Country Christmas, Part 2, photojournalist Paul Franklin is finishing up his time in Brookfield, Lillian and the orphans, along with Gabriel (Ryan-James Hatanaka) are running out of options to restore the troubled boy’s hope for better times. Just when all seems lost, a secret Santa appears to make the holidays a lot happier. Meanwhile, Abigail has a profound conversation with a dear friend from the past.
Rather than returning to Hallmark Channel Now or even to Hallmark Channel, season 2 of When Hope Calls has found a new home on the recently rebranded GAC Family (formerly Great American Country).
