What we loved about the movie

The movie The Thing is about a group of American research scientists in Antarctica. They are at their base camp when they are startled by a helicopter shooting at a sled dog. When they rescue the dog, it attacks both the humans and the other dogs at the camp and they discover that it is an evil beast that can assume the shape of whatever it kills. A helicopter pilot, and the doctor lead the crew of scientists in a gory and desperate battle for survival where they either have to kill or be killed by whatever this evil presence is.
