Fans have been eager for a TV series centered on Lady Jaye, and they are finally getting what they’ve longed for. The character was seen last back in 2013 in John M. Chu’s G.I. Joe: Retaliation (2013), where she was portrayed by actress Adrianne Palicki (John Wick, Legion). The new series will be a reboot, and it will tie into the G.I. Joe universe. This will be a standalone adventure for Lady Jaye and extend the live-action franchise, which will kick off on October 22, with Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins (Robert Schwentke).
Plot
Paramount Pictures has confirmed that the new series is already in the works. However, they have maintained the secrecy reasonably well and have deliberately not disclosed much about the plot of the series. However, we know that it will primarily focus on Lady Jaye and her various undercover missions.
Who will play Snake Eyes?
Henry Golding (Crazy Rich Asians) will take on the titular role of Snake Eyes in the upcoming film Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins. He has teased how different the reboot would be when compared to the expectations of the audience. He has claimed to be blown away by the film since what the makers and writers have recreated is very cool and different. The writing has also created room for the franchise to have several spin-offs. He has referred to it as the launch of a brand new franchise. The actor gave us insight into the shooting procedure, talking about the action sequences being very painful since the fighting style in the film are centered more on martial arts.
