Dynamite Entertainment Sells Vampirella Film And Television Rights To Arowana Media Holdings Inc.

Forrest J Ackerman and Trina Robbins created Fictional superhero Vampirella in 1969. Since then, the character has appeared in Warren Publishing, Harris Publication, and then Dynamite Entertainment. Vampirella’s strengths include moving at the speed of lightning, being hypersensitive to emotions around her, seeing in complete darkness and hearing things inaudible to the regular human ear. This femme-fatal is also excellent at hand-to-hand combat as she is athletic and possesses stamina, agility, and reflexes far superior to that of any human.

The transition was smooth, and Arowana is happy to continue the legacy

Just today, Dynamite Entertainment has sold Arowana Media Holdings Inc. the rights to Vampirella films, television, and streaming. This will also include the characters, stories as well as derivative works. Arowana CEO Mark B Newbauer is more than thrilled to have the opportunity to bring to life this character and even praised CEO and founder of Dynamite Comics Nick Barucci for his vision and talent. Further, Newbauer says that because of the hardworking people at Dynamite Entertainment Vampirella’s character was given so much depth and shown in the right light.

    Latest Vampirella project of Dynamite

The last project on Vampirella that Dynamite Entertainment has worked on are the new comics, in collaboration with JG Jones, the profits from which will go into his cancer treatment. In a recent interview, Jones expressed how happy he was to have worked on this cover as he has been a fan of this character since he can remember. He also stated that, he took inspiration from Sanjulian’s Vampirella cover as it shows off her iconic style and charisma while she tries to break away from chains that bind her. Jones used a watercolour sketch as a base before using oil paint for this cover, making the superheroine as strong, beautiful, sensual, and scary as possible.
