Latest film directed by Tim Ritter titled Sharks of the Corn (yes, you read that right) is releasing in July of this year. The film is a spoof movie that mocks Stephen King’s famous Children of the Corn and possibly the entire genre of shark-horror. Everything seems to be haphazard and going wrong in this movie as a serial killer is running loose, monster of the corn victims are increasing in number and sharks are circling the corn stalks of Druid Hills, Kentucky. Stuck in the middle of all this chaos is Chief Schieder and she is also trying to figure out if her twin sister has been victim to any of this as well. In her quest to find out the truth, she stumbles upon a bizarre yet frightening revelation- the town is infested with a cult who is protected by these sharks and their main aim to take over every cornfield in the world.
The trailer
Shark jaws, teeth, a deranged serial killer and gory attacks are all a part of the film’s minute-long trailer. We see characters running through the cornfields and someone holding up a sign shaped like a shark’s fin that warns people of the fields being closed off. At some point, there is also a gigantic explosion that takes place and although packed with action, the trailer wittingly lacks any dialogue, allowing some mystery to remain for when the audience watch the actual film.
