Catherine Keener (“Capote,” “Being John Malkovich”), a two-time Academy Award nominee, narrates the new film.

“Polar Bear,” a Disneynature film, depicts the narrative of a young mother whose childhood memories equip her to handle motherhood in the increasingly difficult world that polar bears face today. Produced by Fothergill, Wilson, Jason Roberts, Keith Scholey, and Roy Conli, and directed by Alastair Fothergill and Jeff Wilson, the directing duo behind Disneynature’s “Penguins.”

Expert climber Alex Honnold (Free Solo) and National Geographic Explorers Mark Synnot and Bruce Means, along with their climbing team, attempt to scale a 1,000-foot vertical cliff deep in the Amazon Rainforest in this adventure. The goal is to get Means, the biologist, on a mission to reach one of the last remaining tepuis, to one of the last remaining tepuis. The documentary tries to show audiences why these tepuis, which are basically biologically diversified sky islands, are so crucially important to preserve for future generations.
