Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 – Everything We Know So Far

Jujutsu Kaisen is a fantastic shounen-action anime series with supernatural elements. Yuuji Itadori is the main character of this anime series.

The story is about Yuuji Itadori, who spends his days at either the clubroom where he idly indulges in baseless paranormal activities with the Occult Club or the hospital, where he visits his bedridden grandfather.

In the midst of this leisurely lifestyle, however, he comes into contact with a cursed object. Yuuji is suddenly thrust into the world of Curses – dreadful beings made of human malice and negativity – after swallowing what is revealed to be a finger belonging to the demon Sukuna Ryoumen, the “King of Curses.”

Yuuji experiences first-hand the threat these Curses pose to society as he discovers his own newfound powers. Introduced to the Tokyo Metropolitan Jujutsu Technical High School, he begins to walk down a path from which he cannot return—the path of a Jujutsu sorcerer.

A TV anime series or movie based on a fan-favorite manga can take years to develop. The situation was different for “Jujutsu Kaisen.” This dark fantasy story was published in 2018. Within a year of the manga’s publication, an anime adaptation was announced, and in October of 2020, the first 24 episodes of “Jujutsu Kaisen” began airing on MBS and TBS, then on Crunchyroll outside of Asia. March 27, 2021, was the air date for the season finale.

Jujutsu Kaisen’s first season was well received. Its nuanced, realistic characters – especially its female characters – are among the major reasons why the series was so praised. On the whole, “Jujutsu Kaisen” has already made an enormous impact on the world of anime.

In Japan, Jujutsu Kaisen 0, the prequel film, was released in late December 2021, and it is set to be released in North America in March 2022.

The second season of the anime is confirmed. Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen was announced on February 12. MAPPA will be responsible for the animation, and it will premiere in 2023.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 will feature all the main characters, including protagonist Yuuji. Alongside Yuuji are Megumi, Nobara, and Satoru.

It has yet to be announced when Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 will be released, and many fans are eagerly awaiting its release.

So now, let’s look at which manga volumes the new season will adapt and the most likely Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 release date.

Which Volumes Will Season 2 Cover?

Which Volumes Will Season 2 Cover

Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 will begin with manga volume 8 and end with manga volume 16. The first season adapted manga volumes 1-7 of Jujutsu Kaisen. The movie Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is an adaptation of the manga volume 0.

So, if you want to start reading the manga from where the anime ended and continue the JJK story, start reading from chapter 62.

Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 should have between 24 and 26 episodes. The Shibuya Incident arc is far too large for a single cour season, so we could see a split cour second season with 13 episodes for each cour.

Also, after the second season, there should be enough material to make Jujutsu Kaisen season 3.
