A re-creation of director Amy Holden Jones’s 1982 slasher film Slumber Party Massacre is on the way. The project has been set up over at SYFY. Danishka Esterhazy (Vagrant Queen, The Banana Splits Movie) is directing for Shout! Suzanne Keilly is writing studios and the script. The movie’s scheme is below wraps but is said to be a reimagining of the original.

The creators
Rita Mae Brown wrote the 1982 version of the Slumber Party Massacre. It ended up laying two sequels: Slumber Party Massacre III (1990) and Slumber Party Massacre II (1987).The cast includes Frances Sholto-Douglas, Hannah Gonera, Mila Rayne, Reze-Tiana Wessels, and Alex McGregor, and the new take on the classic film is estimated later this year.
