Hustle is a fictional story. With the launch of the inspirational sports drama Hustle in 2022, Adam Sandler is going serious. Sandler stars as Stanley Sugarman, a down-on-his-luck basketball scout who meets Bo Cruz (Juancho Hernández), a once-in-a-lifetime player with a shady past while traveling abroad. Sandler’s scout decides to bring the phenom to America without Sandler’s team’s permission. Stanley and Bo have one more chance to prove they have what it takes to make it in the NBA, despite the odds.
Hustle is a collaboration between two very distinct worlds behind the camera: sports video games and Oscar candidates. Will Fetters, one of the authors behind A Star Is Born, and Taylor Materne, who wrote NBA 2k19 and 2k20, collaborated on the drama.
As part of Happy Madison’s overall arrangement with Netflix, director Jeremiah Zagar directs, with Adam Sandler producing alongside producer LeBron James. Sandler plays a rule-breaking scout in Hustle, which is his seventh Netflix starring role. Juancho Hernangómez, a real-life Spanish NBA basketball player, plays baller Bo Cruz on screen. The Hustle ensemble also includes Queen Latifah, Robert Duvall, Ben Foster, Jordan Hull, Ainhoa Pillet, Maria Botto, and former NBA player (and current sportscaster) Kenny Smith.

Despite the fact that the full-length trailer has yet to be released, the Hustle crew is eager to tease you. The teaser trailer for the film highlights Stanley’s “obsession” with winning, as well as questions Bo’s commitment to the game… and a lot of sweaty exercise footage.
Hustle has yet to be given a release date, but you can count on it to make an appearance on your watch list before the year is up in 2022.
