Captain Nova, a sci-fi film released in Dutch in 2021, will be available on Netflix worldwide in April 2022.
This will be the first time the sci-fi family film has been shown outside of the Netherlands, where it premiered at the Cinekid Festival last year and won four awards. The film, which was made by Keplerfilm, is a cross between Lost in Space and Adam Reynolds’ previous film The Adam Project.
According to Box Office Mojo, the film was released in 120 cinemas across the Netherlands in December 2021 and grossed more than $129,000 between December 2nd and February 20th.
While there aren’t many reviews, it has a 7.2 IMDb rating at the time of publication.
Is “Captain Nova” on Hulu?
“Captain Nova” will not be seen on Hulu. Unless you’re searching for reality shows like “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” or the series premiere of “The Kardashians,” there isn’t much TV on Hulu in April, but the large surge of movies should more than makeup for the absence of TV. Furthermore, many of March’s blockbuster premieres, such as season 3 of “Atlanta,” “The Thing About Pam,” and season 2 of “Good Trouble,” will continue to air into April.
Is “Captain Nova” on Prime Video?
“Captain Nova” will not be released on Prime Video. The buzzy new Regina Hall-starring horror film Master (which may give you Get Out vibes) and Amy Poehler’s Lucille Ball-Desi Arnaz documentary Lucy and Desi, because apparently nothing is hotter right now than a sitcom that originally aired in the 1950s, are among the best movies on Amazon Prime Video.
The immensely adorable Charlie Day-Jenny Slate rom-com I Want You Back, the Maggie Q action film The Protégé, and the celebrated Iranian drama A Hero are among the other films on our list of choices.
Is “Captain Nova” on HBO Max?
“Captain Nova” will not be visiting this platform. The HBO documentary Tony Hawk: Until the Wheels Fall Off premieres on April 5th, kicking off HBO Max’s April slate of originals. The streamer will introduce a plethora of unique new programs two days later, on April 7th, including the premiere of Tokyo Vice and the third season premiere of Close Enough.
Is “Captain Nova” on Netflix?
The film will now be available on Netflix in all territories on April 1st, 2022, with the exception of the Netherlands, at least for the time being. Netflix has a page with no Netflix Original branding, implying that it will be added to Netflix NL in the future.
Netflix will offer a variety of dub and subtitle options, including the original Dutch audio as well as dubs in English, French, Spanish, and German.
