Hocus Pocus 2 is allegedly poignant forward with a fresh director at the tiller. Before, it had been stated that Adam Shankman was on board to direct the expected sequel for Disney+, using a screenplay written by Jen D’Angelo. A new boom has now exposed that Shankman has been substituted on the venture by filmmaker and choreographer Anne Fletcher.Disney had also selected Shankman to direct the forthcoming Enchanted sequel Disenchanted. The director will endure in his role in that film. Hocus Pocus 2 will also begin shooting this Summer. Strangely sufficient, Fletcher was initially involved in directing Disenchanted earlier the venture was put on clutch until lately.

Hocus Pocus 2 will take back Sarah Jessica Parker, Bette Midler, and Kathy Najimy repeating their roles as the three Sanderson sisters. Full facts about the plan haven’t been revealed beyond their participation, so it’s uncertain if any other original stars from the first film will appear or not. Billy Butcherson actor Doug Jones has formerly spoken his curiosity in recurring for Hocus Pocus 2.

Kenny Ortega directed the film Hocus Pocus and it was written by Neil Cuthbert and Mick Garris. It was released in the Summer of 1993. It trailed a trio of wicked witches resurrected on Halloween night in Salem, Massachusetts. The film has grown a vastly large admirer base in the years since. Pointless to say, there has been an admirer demand for a sequel for years. Ahead of the shooting of Hocus Pocus 2, the group of actors got back together for a cybernetic reunion special. In October, Midler held a special reunion of the cast to profit the New York Restoration Project. The one-time-only occasion was only made accessible to watch for admirers who bought tickets to watch that night. Najimy, Midler, Jones, Parker, and other stars from the film were included, along with special guests like Jamie Lee Curtis, Elvira, John Stamos, Meryl Streep, Billy Crystal, Adam Lambert, and Glenn Close.
