Where To Watch “Under The Banner Of Heaven (2022)”?

The seven-episode true-crime drama, directed by Dustin Lance Black (Milk), is based on Jon Krakauer’s 2003 nonfiction book Under the Banner of Heaven: A Story of Violent Faith. The origins and growth of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, as well as a grisly double murder, are also explored in the book.

Garfield plays Detective Jeb Pyre in the series, who is tasked with investigating a brutal murder that occurred in the Lafferty family in 1984. Pyre discovers secret realities about the beginnings of his faith, the LDS church, and how an obsessive interpretation of faith may lead to tragic results as he begins to piece together the puzzle.

As the investigation unfolds, the Detective is forced to reconsider beliefs he had previously taken for granted. Check out the trailer from last month to get a taste of Garfield’s performance in his first starring role on television, as well as the series’ dismal tone.

Daisy Edgar-Jones co-stars with Garfield as Brenda Wright Lafferty, one of the murder victims. Sam Worthington, Denise Gough, Wyatt Russell, Billy Howle, Gil Birmingham, Adelaide Clemens, Rory Culkin, Seth Numrich, Chloe Pirrie, and Sandra Seacat are among the cast members. Lance Black was the showrunner and executive producer for the series.

Imagine Television’s Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, and Anna Culp, Aggregate Films’ Jason Bateman and Michael Costigan, and David Mackenzie and Gillian Berrie also served as executive producers. FX Productions was in charge of the show’s production.
