A mysterious sci-fi world with romantic elements is the setting of The Tunnel to Summer, the Exit of Goodbye. Among the inhabitants of this world, there is a rumor about a tunnel named “Urashima Tunnel.”
There is a rumor that on the other side of this tunnel, you will find what you desire most. However, it may not be that simple. One has to give up some years of their life as well as walk through the tunnel before their wish can be granted.
The series then introduces us to Tono Kaoru, the protagonist. As soon as he hears the rumor, he doesn’t believe it. Nevertheless, he keeps wondering how he would be able to bring his late sister back to life if there were a way to do so.
By chance, he discovers the tunnel and is intrigued by its existence. He is followed by Anzu Hanaki, a new student in his class, to the tunnel’s destination. She offers to explain how the tunnel works. Is her help free? It’s unclear.
