    15 Anime To Watch If You Love To Your Eternity

    To Your Eternity is a supernatural drama about an orb cast onto Earth who learns about the world, what it’s like to be human, and discovers an ulterior motive for his existence. They eventually become a boy after taking the forms of various dead creatures they come into contact with. He is eventually given the name Fushi. 

    To Your Eternity is a one-of-a-kind series that weaves themes of departure and loss into Fushi’s never-ending journey as an immortal who falls in love with the world and everyone he meets.

    The first season of the anime had fans stockpiling tissues to wipe away their tears and eagerly anticipating season 2. Season 2 will, however, be released in the fall of 2022. In the meantime, this article delves into some anime, such as To Your Eternity, that fans should check out. 

    One of the factors influencing its success is that, unlike most anime, with its a mature tone and realistic fantasy setting. While To Your Eternity is rarer than your average battle shonen, isekai, or high school romance, there is much anime that share elements with it.

    1. Dororo

    Dororo

    Daigo Kagemitsu, the selfish samurai lord’s land, is withering, and he will do anything for power, including abandon Buddha and establish a pact with demons. Twelve demons respond to his prayers by granting him the power he seeks by assisting his prefecture’s growth but at a cost. When Kagemitsu’s first son is born, he has no limbs, nose, eyes, ears, or even skin—yet he lives.

    This child is forgotten and thrown into a river. However, he is saved by a medicine man who provides him with prosthetics and weapons, allowing him to survive and fend for himself. The boy grows and lives, and despite his inability to see, hear, or feel anything, he must defeat the demons who took him as a sacrifice. 

    With each death, he reclaims a piece of himself that is rightfully his. He wanders for many years alone until he meets Dororo, an orphan boy. The unlikely pair of castaways must now fight for their survival and humanity in an unforgiving, demon-infested world.

    2. Violet Evergarden

    The Great War ended after four long years of conflict; fractured in two, Telesis slowly began to flourish once more. Violet Evergarden, a young girl, raised solely to destroy enemy lines, was caught up in death and destruction. She was hospitalized and maimed in a brutal skirmish during the War’s final leg, leaving her with just words from the person she cherished most but no knowledge of what they meant.

    Violet starts a new life working at CH Postal Services after a falling out with her new intended guardian family. There, by chance, she witnesses the work of an “Auto Memory Doll,” which transcribes people’s thoughts and feelings into words on paper. 

    Violet is inspired by the concept and decides to work as an Auto Memory Doll, a job that will take her on a journey, change the lives of her clients and hopefully lead to self-discovery.

    3. Mushishi

    “Mushi”: the world’s most basic form of life. They exist without any goals or purposes other than “being.” They are free of the constraints of the words “good” and “evil.” Mushi can exist in a variety of forms and are capable of imitating natural phenomena such as plants, diseases, and even rainbows. 

    This is a hazy definition of the entities that populate Mushishi’s vibrant world; calling them a form of life would be an oversimplification. Mushi’s existence is unknown to the majority of humans, so detailed information on them is scarce.

    What are Mushi exactly, and why do they exist? Ginko, a “Mushishi,” is constantly thinking about this question. Mushishi is those who study Mushi in order to better understand their place in the world’s hierarchy of life. 

    Ginko investigates rumors of events that may be related to Mushi in order to find an answer. 

    After all, it could lead to the meaning of life itself. 

    4. Majo no Tabitabi

    Although Elaina spends her free time reading a variety of books, one in particular stands out: The Adventures of Nike, a short collection of stories recounting the thrilling exploits of a traveling witch, Elaina is inspired by Nike’s fascinating journey and aspires to travel the world herself. 

    When Elaina tells her family about her ambitions, they only have one condition: Elaina must become a capable witch-like Nike. Elaina goes on to become the youngest girl to achieve the title of Apprentice Witch, then progresses to a full-fledged witch, driven by her desire to learn more about the unknown.

    Elaina, now known as the Ashen Witch due to her distinctive silver hair, leaves her home and embarks on her own journey. She soon visits a variety of mysterious and fascinating countries, meets and befriends a diverse range of people, and, most importantly, fulfills her lifelong thirst for exploration.

    5. Sayonara no Asa ni Yakusoku no Hana wo Kazarou

    The story begins with Maquia, who comes from a family where everyone stops aging in their late teens. She has no parents and, despite the fact that her days are peaceful, she is lonely. Their tranquillity is shattered when an army invades in search of the key to her people’s immortality. 

    The most beautiful girl in her clan, Leilia, is kidnapped, and Maquia’s secret crush vanishes. Maquia is able to flee, but she loses her friends and her home in the process. While wandering alone in the forest, Maquia discovers a baby in a destroyed village and names him Ariel, deciding to raise him as her own. The plot follows the two’s changing relationship as Arial grows older and Maquia does not.

    Despite knowing nothing about how to raise a child who ages much faster than her, the human world, or how to live with the smoldering loneliness inside, she is determined to make it all work.

    6. Kino no Tabi: The Beautiful World

    Kino, a 15-year-old traveler, develops an attachment to Hermes, a talking motorcycle. They travel the world together, exploring different countries and locations with no idea what to expect. After all, life is a journey full of unknowns. 

    Throughout their journeys, they encounter a variety of customs, ranging from the morally questionable to the tragic and fascinating. They also meet a variety of people, including those who live to work, those who live to make others happy, and those who live to pursue their dreams. As a result, in each country they visit, there is always something to learn from the way people live their lives.

    It is not up to Hermes or Kino to decide whether these asserted values are correct or incorrect, as they are merely observers in this small world. Regardless of how absurd these values appear, they make no attempt to change or influence the places they visit. That’s because they feel that everything is fine just the way it is and that “the world is not beautiful; therefore, it is.”

    7. Trigun

    Vash the Stampede is the target of a $60,000,000,000 bounty. He’s a merciless villain who annihilates those who oppose him and flattens entire cities for fun, earning him the moniker “The Humanoid Typhoon.” He leaves a path of destruction and death wherever he goes, and anyone who even makes eye contact with him is dead, according to rumors. Vash, in reality, is a huge softie who claims to have never killed anyone and avoids violence at all costs.

    Vash explores the wasteland of the planet Gunsmoke with his crazy doughnut addiction and buffoonish attitude in tow while being pursued by two insurance agents, Meryl Stryfe and Milly Thompson, who attempt to minimize his public impact.

    However, their misadventures quickly turn into life-or-death situations when a group of legendary assassins is summoned to cause the trio harm. Vash’s painful past will be revealed, and his morality and principles will be tested to the limit.

    8. Made in Abyss

    The Abyss is a vast chasm stretching down into the earth’s depths, teeming with unknown creatures and ancient artifacts. What caused that to happen? What exactly is at the very bottom? Divers, or daring individuals, have attempted to uncover the mysteries of the Abyss by bravely plunging into its darkest depths. Those who remain on the surface hold the White Whistles in high regard as the best and bravest of the Divers.

    Daughter of the missing White Whistle Lyza, the Annihilator, Riko, desires to follow in her mother’s footsteps and explore the Abyss. As a new Red Whistle, however, she is only permitted to explore the topmost layer. Regardless, Riko has an accidental encounter with a mysterious robot that resembles a young boy.

    Reg is named after him, and he has no recollection of the events that led up to his discovery. With the full conviction that Reg’s technology must have originated deep within the Abyss, they venture into the chasm to recover his memories and see what lies beneath. They are, however, unaware of the harsh reality that is the true existence of the Abyss.

    Noé Archivist is looking for the fabled Book of Vanitas in nineteenth-century Paris. While on an airship, he is saved from a vampire attack by an eccentric doctor named Vanitas, who carries the very tome he seeks.

    The self-proclaimed vampire expert is actually a mere mortal who inherited both his name and the book from his master, the legendary Vanitas. As the strange case of Charlatan’s Parade emerges, the ability of the doctor to resuscitate vampires by recovering their true names will be very useful.

    10. Mononoke Hime

    When a fierce demon boar attacks an Emishi village, the young prince Ashitaka risks his life to defend his tribe. The beast curses the prince’s arm with its dying breath, bestowing demonic powers on him while gradually draining his life. 

    When Ashitaka, instructed by the village elders to travel west for a cure, arrives at Tatara, the Iron Town, he stumbles into a conflict between Lady Eboshi of Tatara, who favors continued deforestation, and Princess San and the sacred spirits of the forest, who are furious about human damage to the forest.

    As the opposing forces of mankind and nature clash in a desperate struggle for survival, Ashitaka attempts to bring the two together while battling the latent demon within him. Mononoke Hime is a story about the connection between technology and nature, as well as the path to harmony that can be achieved through mutual acceptance.

    11. Wolf’s Rain

This utopia is the only hope for the remaining life in this desolate land, but legend has it that only wolves can find their way to this mythical realm. Wolves, long thought to be extinct, still exist and coexist with humans, disguising themselves with elaborate illusions. 

    Kiba, a lone wolf, is drawn by an intoxicating scent to Freeze City, an impoverished town ruled by the callous Lord Orkham. Kiba discovers that the same aroma has drawn wolves Hige, Tsume, and Toboe in.

    The wolves set out on a journey across desolate landscapes and crumbling cities to find their legendary promised land by following the fragrance of “Lunar Flowers,” said to be the key to unlocking the door to their ideal world. They are not, however, the only ones seeking paradise, and those with more sinister intentions will go to any length to get there first.

    Saichi Sugimoto has been called the “Immortal Sugimoto” for his savagery on the battlefield during the Russo-Japanese war. However, he is far from a hero. After being released from the army for nearly killing a superior officer, Sugimoto has been left to fend for himself. Sugimoto is now searching for gold in the rough terrain of Hokkaido in order to keep a promise to his lost brother-in-arms. For a long time, his efforts have been futile until a mysterious traveler informs him of an urban legend that will cure him of all his problems.

    The legend says that a criminal stole the gold of the Ainu, Hokkaido’s indigenous people, and hid it in a place only accessible by putting together a map, which was made from the tattooed skins of escaped convicts. 

    Sugimoto sets out in search of the tattooed prisoners after meeting a young Ainu girl named Asirpa, but many dangers await as soldiers and mercenaries also seek the gold. In a journey of vengeance, murder, and greed, the two of them set out to find the stolen Ainu gold, aided by Asirpa’s knowledge of the lands.

    13. Hotarubi no Mori e

    As a six-year-old girl, Hotaru Takegawa gets lost in a forest rumored to be inhabited by spirits while on vacation at her grandfather’s house. Hotaru is crying out in desperation when she is approached by Gin, a mysterious boy in a mask who offers to help her. 

    Hotaru runs to Gin with open arms, overjoyed at the sight of another person, only to be rudely rebuffed. However, she quickly discovers the serious reason for his behavior: Gin has been cursed. If he is ever touched by a human being, he will vanish forever.

    Despite Gin’s advice to never return, Hotaru does the opposite, and the two quickly become close friends despite his precarious situation. Nonetheless, as the years pass and their mutual feelings intensify, Hotaru and Gin begin to struggle with the boundaries that fate has placed between them.

    14. Ged Senki

    Earthsea is besieged by disasters, and dragons have been seen fighting above the clouds, which has never happened before. Sparrowhawk, a powerful Archmage, sets out to solve the mystery behind these troubling events, and along the way, he meets Prince Arren. The Kingdom of Enlad’s fugitive heir, Arren, is a quiet and troubled young man. He decides to accompany Sparrowhawk on his journey while wandering aimlessly in an attempt to escape the dark presence that haunts him.

    In Hort Town, however, they are met with unexpected trouble – Lord Cob, an evil wizard who is obsessed with eternal life, stands in their way.

    Forced to confront him, the pair join forces with Tenar, an old friend of Sparrowhawk’s, and Therru, the tragic orphan girl she adopted. However, the enemy’s cunning hobby of manipulating emotions may prove disastrous for the young prince. 

    Ged Senki, set in a magical world, goes beyond the traditional battle between good and evil to explore the inner battles of the heart.

    Many years ago, following the end of a bloody world war, humanity sought refuge in six city-states that were, on the surface, peaceful and perfect. Shion, an elite resident of the city-state No. 6, however, gained a new perspective on the world he lives in after a chance encounter with a mysterious boy named Nezumi.

    It turned out Nezumi was only one of many people who lived in the desolate wasteland beyond the supposed utopia’s walls. While Shion knew the other boy was a fugitive, he decided to take him in for the night and protect him, which had drastic consequences: Shion and his mother lost their status as elites, were relocated, and the dark side of the city began to show. 

    A long time after their fateful first meeting, Shion and Nezumi are finally brought together again as they venture on an adventure that will ultimately reveal the secrets of No. 6.
