    In Shadyside, 1994, the trilogy and the dread begin. Fear Street Part 1: 1994, the first instalment of Netflix’s horror trilogy, teases jump scares, gory violence, and horror movie tropes galore in Netflix’s adaptation of the bestselling novel series. The trailer teases the first chapter of the streaming platform’s highly anticipated adaptation of American novelist R. L. Stine’s work, titled Summer of Fear.

    Fear Street Part 1: 1994 transports spectators back to the beautiful 1990s, when a gang of adolescents discovers that the horrible incidents that have plagued their town for centuries may all be connected – and that they may be the next targets.

    Fear Street Part 1: 1994 is directed by Leigh Janiak and stars Kiana Madeira as Deena, Olivia Welch as Samantha, Benjamin Flores Jr. as Josh, Julia Rehwald as Kate, Fred Hechinger as Simon, Maya Hawke as Heather, and Ashley Zukerman as Sheriff Nick Goode. It is based on an original storey by Kyle Killen, Graziadei, and Janiak.

    Adapted from R.L. the trilogy, based on R.L. Stine’s bestselling horror series, follows the nightmare through Shadyside’s ominous history and will be very different from Stine’s other well-known works, such as Goosebumps. Fear Street Part 1: 1994 has recently been rated R for “intense bloody violence, drug content, language, and some sexual content,” suggesting an even more scary adaptation than spectators are likely to be prepared for. With the R rating in mind, author R.L. Stine has claimed that he has already seen the full trilogy and has warned fans to be prepared.

    The three parts all delve into gruesome and horrific pasts and brings us scares from across history and we can’t wait to see what they have in store for us!
