When Is Zombies 3 (2022) Releasing?

Zombies 3 has been given a release date, and the good news is that it will be available on Disney+ very soon.

The bad news is that Disney indicated that the film will be the series’ final instalment when it was officially confirmed in March 2021. At the very least, when we return to Seabrook in July for our final visit, we’ll be able to see how it all ends.

Milo Manheim and Meg Donnelly would reprise their roles as Seabrook’s star-crossed zombie/cheerleader duo Zed and Addison in Zombies 3. Director Paul Hoen, as well as writers David Light and Joseph Raso, are all set to return for the final film.

“We had wanted to raise the stakes in this third and final instalment after the huge success of Zombies 2,” said Lauren Kisilevsky, vice president, Original Movies, Disney Branded Television.

“So, when the ultimate outsiders descend on Seabrook, our squad of cheerleaders, zombies, and werewolves must band together to combat a galactic menace that could forever transform the face of Seabrook.”

Now that Zombies 3 has a release date, here’s all you need to know about the beloved franchise’s final instalment.

Zombies 3 release date: When can we expect the release of Zombies 3?

Zombies 3 will premiere exclusively on Disney+ worldwide on July 15, 2022, in contrast to the previous films.

The threequel will then premiere on Disney Channel in the United States on Friday, August 12 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, with a special encore presentation that includes a brand new “lost song” musical number and extra bonus content.

The July release date differs from the previous two films, which both premiered on the Disney Channel around Valentine’s Day in February 2018 and February 2020, respectively.

How does Zombies 2’s ending lay the stage for Zombies 3’s plot?

Zed and Addison’s youthful love appeared to be in risk with the entrance of Seabrook High’s Prawn when he stole a pendant that Addison believed would reveal her true form as a werewolf.

But, because this is a Disney film, everything worked out in the end after Zed apologized and realized he had treated the werewolves badly. Zed apologizes to Addison when the zombies attack the Prawn with the help of the werewolves.

“I thought everything would make sense if I was a werewolf, but I’m not, and I’m not sure if I’m even a cheerleader,” Addison says Zed, who adds, “You’re a leader, Addison,” and “You’re the one who pulls people together.”

They kiss and makeup after that. Awww.

Later that night, a mystery meteorite crashes in Seabrook, prompting Addison’s radio to turn on and rouse her up, which isn’t the end of Zombies 2. “Weird,” she remarks as her hair begins to flash a brilliant blue…

Is it possible that Addison is an alien? As Zed and Addison begin their senior year at Seabrook High, the official synopsis for the third film promises that there will be an alien twist:

“Zed is hoping for an athletic scholarship that will allow him to become the first Zombie to attend college,” it reads. “Addison is preparing for Seabrook’s first international cheer-off tournament.”

“Then, out of nowhere, extraterrestrial entities materialise in the vicinity of Seabrook, causing more than friendly competition.”

Eight new musical numbers have been revealed for the third film, including the opening track ‘Alien Invasion,’ new songs for Zed and Addison (including a third iteration of ‘Someday,’ and ‘Come On Out.’

The film’s digital soundtrack will be available on July 15, the same day that Disney+ premieres the film.

Cast of Zombies 3: Who’s going to return for Zombies 3?

Milo Manheim and Meg Donnelly reprise their roles as Zed and Addison in the third instalment of the Zombies franchise.

Trevor Tordjman will reprise his role as Bucky, Chandler Kinney will play Willa, Kingston Foster will play Zoey, Carla Jeffery will play Bree, Ariel Martin will play Wynter, Pearce Joza will play Wyatt, and Kylee Russell will play Eliza.

Terry Hu is A-spen, Matt Cornett as A-lan, Kyra Tantao as A-li, and James Godfrey as Bonzo are among the newcomers.

But it is none other than RuPaul who makes his Zombies debut as the voice of “The Mothership,” a passive-aggressive UFO that delivers the aliens to Earth in the new film.

Trailer for Zombies 3: Is there a trailer for Zombies 3 yet?

Although a complete trailer for Zombies 3 has yet to be released, Disney did release a 15-second teaser in October 2021, so it will have to suffice.
