Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger, former adversaries and all-time action movie greats, are chumming it up in a new Instagram snap.
Two of the biggest action movie actors of all time, Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger, have reunited for a new photo that was recently shared online. Sly and Arnold were effectively competitors throughout the 1980s and 1990s, striving to be Hollywood’s top action star. They’ve become close friends in recent years, and Stallone just shared a snapshot from a recent reunion between the two actors on Instagram.
There was no explanation given as to why the two Hollywood giants were recently reunited. It’s very plausible that Stallone and Schwarzenegger were simply trying to catch up after being separated for more than a year due to the pandemic. Of course, we can’t rule out the idea that the stars are talking about a possible movie project. The two previously worked together in the prison breakout film Escape Plan, as well as the action ensemble film The Expendables and its two sequels.

It was the first time Sylvester Stallone had seen Arnold in over a year, according to the caption, which also included a second shot of Sly and Arnold hanging out with Ralf Moeller and Frank Stallone. They appeared to be in good health and enjoying each other’s company.
It’s presumably The Expendables 4 if these two are talking about film projects. Randy Couture confirmed in April that the sequel would begin filming in the fall, with a fresh storyline in the works. If Couture’s claims are correct, he might be back on set with Stallone and Schwarzenegger within the next few months.
In any event, considering their famed rivalry in the past, it’s astonishing to see Stallone and Schwarzenegger getting along so well. There was a time when it seemed impossible for the two action stars to be on the same screen together. Now, it appears like the two are on track to star in their fifth film together if The Expendables 4 comes to fruition.
