According to a new report, The Matrix 4 will be set 60 years after The Matrix Revolutions, with Neo attempting to release a rebooted Trinity.
While The Matrix 4 is set to be released later this year, we still know very little about the film. There is a new rumour claiming to expose numerous key story details, including Keanu Reeves’ Neo’s much waited homecoming.
The Matrix 4 will apparently start up 60 years after the events of 2003’s The Matrix Revolutions, according to sources. Now that the simulated world has been restarted, there supposedly have been considerable changes since we last left the globe. Not everyone is still alive, and the “world” has changed since Neo first joined it all those years ago.

This other reality includes features such as Zion no longer existing, the remaining humans no longer fearing machines, and some even cooperating with them. The myth also sheds light on the disappearance of former leader Morpheus, who has since died. Niobe, played by Jada Pinkett Smith, has taken his position, with the actress set to age up for the film.
The peace between humans and machines is fragile. Neo will be striving to release a version of Trinity from the existing Martix. Trinity, played by Carrie-Anne Moss once more, has undergone significant transformations and is now Tiffany, who “lives a pretty “normal” life with her husband and children within the programme. Neo will fight to release “Tiffany” from The Matrix, with The One said to be operating similarly to Morpheus all those years ago.
The final element concerns Neil Patrick Harris’ role in the proceedings, with the actor supposedly portraying The Analyst, a new version of jargon and exposition spewing The Architect, with Harris’ character claimed to have assisted in bringing computers and humans together in peace. It’s unclear whether The Analyst is the true villain of the story.
