Directed By Well Known Visual Effects Artist Peter Sefchik, Behemoth Is An Absolute Horrorfest

Going from visual effects to directing, Peter Sefchik is preparing to release Behemoth, his directorial debut, and we recently learned that it will be released this summer. Behemoth will be released on digital platforms on August 27 by Level 33 Entertainment. Behemoth is the stunning debut of Peter Sefchik, who has used his enormous experience making CG creatures for blockbuster films to build an ambitious indie feature packed with monsters and demons unlike anything seen on its budget level. A press said the same while announcing the release of the new movie.

The movie revolves around a man called Joshua. Joshua Riverton worked for a worldwide chemical powerhouse for ten years, and was well-known for their environmental blunder. When his daughter develops an unknown ailment, he comes forward as a whistle-blower, causing havoc in his life. He believes that his company’s irresponsibility caused his daughter’s illness, and that sinister powers are concealing the truth.

When offered the opportunity to confront his old boss Dr. Woeland, he permits a standoff to turn violent, resulting in Josh’s death. Josh is now on the run, using pills while holding Woeland captive. Josh demands answers concerning his daughter’s illness, but his grasp on reality is eroding with each passing moment.

Is Woeland more than he appears, or is it just the painkillers? Is it only Josh’s imagination, or has he wandered into a terrible league of evil?

Sefchik’s long career began at George Lucas’ famed Skywalker Ranch, according to the press release. AVATAR, as well as the HARRY POTTER, SHREK, and STAR WARS series, are among his most prominent former work.

Paul Statman, Josh Eisenberg, Richard Wagner, , Jennifer Churchich, and Whitney Nielsen are included among the cast members of Behemoth. If you look for a little sneak peek, check out the trailer.
