Oggy and the Cockroaches Next Generation was the name given to the eighth season of Oggy and the Cockroaches when it was first announced on September 7th, 2020. It was eventually broadcast on Gulli on November 8th, 2021. Using this strategy, the Oggy and the Cockroaches business, which previously required 15 years to reach €50 million in earnings, has now reached the €100 million mark in just an extra five years, with more than 60% of the revenue coming from overseas sales.

In addition to being bought by many broadcasters, including Discovery and DEA Kids in Italy, Gulli and M6 in France, and VRT-Ketnet in Flemish Belgium, Oggy – Next Gen will make its debut around the globe as a Netflix Branded Original. With the arrival of his friends’ daughter, a 7-year-old elephant named Piya, the main character of Oggy – Next Gen, based on the original characters created by Jean-Yves Raimbaud, must assume parental duties. Ask The StoryBots, Chip and Potato, Mighty Little Bheem, Motown Magic, Super Monsters, True and the Rainbow Kingdom, Word Party, and YooHoo to the Rescue are some of the other preschool shows on Netflix that are geared toward children between the ages of 2 and 6.
Last year, Xilam Animation raised $24.8 million in financing by offering new shares to individual investors. The money was used to support Xilam’s expansion objectives and help them look into possible acquisition and co-production options.
