Two spinoff shows for “Alone,” the History Channel survival drama, will debut in the next month.
The spinoffs, titled “Alone: The Skills Challenge” and “Alone: Frozen,” will continue the original show’s premise of dumping challengers into the wilderness as they try to survive alone for the longest while adding new twists to the formula and featuring past contestants who will make cameo appearances.
The August 4 debut of “The Skills Challenge” centres on three previous “Alone” contestants as they compete in building challenges created by another former contestant to create shelter in the woods. Callie North (Season 3), Lucas Miller (Season 1), Amós Rodriguez (Season 7), Britt Ahart (Seasons 3 and 5), Jordan Jonas (Season 6), Joel Van Der Loon (Season 7) and Clay Hayes are among the returning competitors from the first season (season eight). The first season’s 12 episodes will run on Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT following the show’s 10:30 p.m. ET/PT debut.
Six “Alone” survivors from the past will descend on Labrador, Canada in “Frozen,” which debuts on August 11 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, in an effort to survive for fifty days in the brutal North Atlantic winter. The contestants that make it to the end will get a portion of a $500,000 cash reward. Greg Ovens (Season 3), WoniyaThibeault (Season 6), Callie Russell (Season 7), Mark D’Ambrosio (Season 7), Amós Rodriguez (Season 7) and Michelle Finn are the returning competitors for the sixth episode of the first season of “Frozen” (Season 8). On July 28, “Alone: Frozen Before the Frozen,” an hour-long special on the History Channel, will reintroduce the participants and offer an inside look into the series.
The History Channel presently broadcasts “Alone” on Thursdays in Season 9. Produced by Leftfield Pictures, an ITV America division, the programme and its offshoots. The series are executive produced by Ryan Pender and Shawn Witt for Leftfield, and Zachary G. Behr for The History Channel. The History Channel just revealed that they would add two new spin-offs to their well-liked survival reality series Alone! Former cast members will appear on both new series, but the ideas behind them are very different. Alone: The original television series is most reminiscent to Frozen. Six of the most resilient contestants from previous seasons will compete to survive in Labrador, Canada, which is the same region as Alone Season 9. The main distinction is that the participants will begin their journey later in the season and only have 50 days to complete it.

The twelve-episode “Alone: The Skills Challenge” television series makes its debut on Thursday, August 4 at 10:30 PM ET/PT before switching to its regular timeslot of Thursdays at 10 PM ET/PT. The eight-episode “Alone: Frozen” television series makes its debut on Thursday, August 11 at 9 PM ET/PT. Also debuting on Tuesday, July 28 at 10:30 PM ET/PT, the new one-hour special “Alone: Frozen Before The Freeze” will provide an inside peek at the new series “Alone: Frozen” and reintroduce the six “Alone” experienced competitors embarking on this difficult task.

Survivalists will attempt to last fifty days in a region with the densest population of Polar Bears in the United States after being abandoned on the icy North Atlantic Coast of Labrador, Canada, just as winter is setting in. They will contend with howling winds, relentless rain, and North America’s most vicious cold-weather predators while enduring conditions that are worse than those seen in any previous season of “Alone.”
The survivors who make it to the end with just a few resources and their prior experiences to draw on will receive their share of the $500,000 cash prize.
The eight-episode inaugural season of Alone: Frozen will air on Thursday, August 11 at 9 p.m. and 8 pm. Additionally, on Tuesday, July 28 at 10:30/9:30c, a one-hour special titled “Alone: Frozen Before The Freeze” will make its debut. “The special will provide an inside peek at new series Alone: Frozen and reintroduce the six Alone veteran contestants taking on this extreme task,” according to the press release.
With the addition of Alone: The Skills Challenge and Alone: Frozen, The History Channel is extending its survival reality brand Alone. The 12-part Alone: The Skills Challenge, which premieres on August 4, will follow three past Alone contestants as they square off in imaginative build challenges created by one of their peers. Only one survivalist will be declared the victor, demonstrating they have the abilities required to exist in the wilderness using only simple equipment and the local resources. Six of the most competitive contestants from previous seasons of Alone will go on survival expeditions in Labrador, Canada, just as the North Atlantic winter is about to start for a chance to win their share of a $500,000 reward in the eight-part Alone: Frozen, which will premiere on August 11th.
The next one-hour special Alone: Frozen Before The Freeze, which debuts on July 28 and provides an inside look at Alone: Frozen and the individuals going on this extreme challenge, will be followed by the new series. Along with Zachary G. Behr and Amy Savitsky for The History Channel, Shawn Witt, Ryan Pender, and Dan Bree serve as executive producers for Leftfield Pictures on Alone: The Skills Challenge. The ninth season of the original Alone series is presently running on The History Channel, and A+E Networks own both the series and the concept. Alone: The Beast, a prior spin-off, debuted in 2020.
