In a new Food Network series, Bobby Flay and his daughter Sophie will tour the California coast and eat at restaurants all throughout Los Angeles.
The two will star in Bobby and Sophie on the Coast, which premieres on the network and streaming service Discovery+ owned by Warner Bros. Discovery on August 22.
It is the famous chef’s first network series after signing a new three-year contract after it seemed he might be departing the channel after 27 years.
The three-part series, which Flay’s new contract, which was inked in November, previewed, sees the two travel Los Angeles, visiting everything from opulent Hollywood institutions to the urban renaissance of Downtown L.A.’s trendiest new eateries.
They visit Jitlada, where Bobby’s friend and James Beard-nominated chef Jazz Singsanong prepares Thai green curry for them, Tartine, a West Hollywood cat café, Nancy Silverton’s newest eatery, The Barish, housed inside the Roosevelt Hotel, Salt’s Cure, a neighborhood breakfast joint, Mashti Malone’s Persian Ice Cream, Japanese hotspot Yamashiro Hollywood, French bistro Gigi’s, Rosco
Additionally, they go to the Original Farmers Market while investigating the eateries in the nearby seaside towns and Downtown Los Angeles’s culinary revival and hipster hot spots.
Rock Shrimp Productions is the producer of Bobby and Sophie on the Coast.

Sling, Sling Orange, Philo, DirecTV Stream, Hulu, Fubo, Fubo Elite, YouTube TV, Vidgo, or Xfinity Choice TV all offer access to Food Network without a cable subscription.
Sling TV Orange offers a really nice price despite being the most basic live TV plan offered by Sling. More than 30 channels, 50 hours of DVR storage, and the opportunity to tailor your channel lineup with “Extras,” extra channel bundles customized to your particular interests, are all included for $35 per month.
For $25 per month, you get more than 60 live channels, limitless DVR space, and multi-device streaming. There aren’t many better cord-cutting offers out there. Despite how amazing it is, Philo lacks numerous popular cable programs, including sports channels. However, Philo’s offer is unmatched if you can acquire that stuff elsewhere and are satisfied without it.
