Kong Will Be Making His Way Back To Skull Island In Animation

With the release date for ‘Godzilla vs. Kong’ nearing, fans are gearing up for some interesting kaiju showdown. The Adam Wingard directed film is set to hit theatres on March 26th, and it stars Millie Bobby Brown from ‘Stranger Things’ who will be seen playing a more prominent role hereafter ‘Godzilla 2: King of Monsters.’ The film trailer shows Kong overpowering Godzilla by a lot, especially being backed by high-end weaponry of the humans. Still, fans are expecting Godzilla to bounce back and destroy Kong. Who will win the fight is not clear, but a great deal of action can most definitely be expected. Hypothetically speaking, if Kong is the one who happens to fall, his fans need not worry because Legendary is starting a brand-new chapter for this titan.

    Details of the project

Working with Netflix, Legendary is currently working on developing an animated series for Kong. This series will be titled ‘Skull Island’ and tell the story of a group of people who fall victim to an unfortunate shipwreck and, as a result, find themselves on the mysterious island. Of course, Kong is not the threat on the island, but there are other giant monsters they must look out for. As the viewers saw in ‘Kong: Skull Island’, large octopuses and grotesque looking carnivorous lizards are only a couple of the many creatures to be aware of. Perhaps with animation, the makers can take more liberty to introduce macabre monsters that will threaten and even drop a few Easter eggs from the MonsterVerse that avid fans can look out for.
