Cinderella is a romantic musical film released in 2021, based on Charles Perrault’s fairy tale of the same name. Kay Cannon wrote and directed the film, which stars Camila Cabello in her acting debut alongside Idina Menzel, Minnie Driver, Nicholas Galitzine, Billy Porter, and Pierce Brosnan.
It’s a jukebox musical, with songs that are largely pop and rock successes from earlier decades, as well as a few originals.
Amazon Prime Video published Cinderella digitally on September 3, 2021.
It stars a depressed Ella who refuses to be imprisoned to her stepmother’s basement, a genderless fairy godmother, and a spunky self-starter who defies patriarchy’s confines to become a successful businessman.
Ella is a dressmaker who wants to see the globe, but her stepmother has already promised her that she will marry and settle down with Thomas, a villager. Ella is invited to the prince’s ball after a fortuitous meeting leads to him falling in love with her, and she prepares to attend to show off her outfits, but she is stopped by her stepmother.
Ella is escorted to the ball by an extremely fabulous fairy godmother, but when the prince asks her to marry him, she declines because she wants to focus on her work. Will she fall in love or pursue her job – will her desire be to become a queen and live happily ever after or will she pursue her dreams? You’ll have to wait and see to find out.
Cinderella filming locations
The musical drama was shot in England for the most part. The film is brought to life by using beautiful and vintage sites from across the country. The film’s production was supposed to start in February 2020, however it was put on hold due to the epidemic. In August 2020, the film’s production resumed.
The majority of the film was shot in Buckinghamshire, England’s famous Pinewood Studios. The renowned James Bond stage is also located within the famed studio. Waddesdon Manor was also used for several of the outdoor scenes. In the film, the rural house replaced the royal palace.

Cinderella began filming in London’s Pinewood Studios in February 2021, but was halted the following month because to the Covid epidemic.
The crew was also seen filming sequences with the historic Blackpool Tower in the background at Blackpool Pleasure Beach.
The Prince’s castle is actually Blenheim Palace, which is located in the Oxfordshire town of Woodstock. The movie’s library sequences were also shot in the palace’s interior.
England with all of its beautiful and old castles which embody the Victorian era and opulence serve as the perfect backdrop for this modern twist on a much-loved fairytale. The palaces and grandeur add to the magical feeling of the plot.
