Titane, directed by Julia Ducournau, the French writer-director of Raw (2016), is sure to elicit more yelps, winces, grunts, and uneasy chuckles than anything else at this year’s festival – or anywhere else for that matter. The gorgeous, dark, twisted dream of Ducournau is a terrifying yet mischievously funny barrage of sex, violence, obscene lighting, and pounding music. It’s also impossible to say where it’ll end up next.
Agathe Rousselle plays a crazy lady who falls pregnant after having sex with an automobile. “The most terrifying film of 2021,” according to a BBC review. On July 13, 2021, the film had its global debut at the Cannes Film Festival, where Ducournau became only the second female filmmaker to win the Palme d’Or, the festival’s highest honor.
Titane is a body horror film in which an automobile, a lady, and a hybrid infant are all involved. A titanium plate is placed into the head of Alexia, a young girl who was severely damaged in a vehicle accident. Alexia shuns her parents as she walks out of the hospital and passionately kisses their car.
Alexia, now an adult, is still curiously drawn to automobiles and works as a sexed-up showgirl at a car show. A huge scar from her injuries is hidden by her hair on the back of her head. She reaches a climax one night while alone in the garage, stroking herself inside a car. Alexia is then discovered to be a serial murderer who has slain a number of men and women in recent months. Watch as she becomes wanted by the police while being pregnant with a car-baby.

France is known for having a very strong film industry, thanks in part to French government protections. France has long been a meeting place for artists from all over Europe and the world, in addition to its strong and innovative film culture.
The movie is a French film and has already been released in France. The entire movie was shot in the Paris Region in France.
Paris Region, France
Paris is the capital of France and a significant European metropolis as well as a global centre for art, fashion, food, and culture. Wide boulevards and the Seine River cut across the cityscape of the nineteenth century. The city is famed for its cafe culture and designer stores along the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, in addition to sights such as the Eiffel Tower and the Gothic Notre-Dame cathedral from the 12th century.
The film was completely shot in the Île-de-France, which translates to “Isle of France,” which is the most populated of France’s eighteen regions. It is often referred to as the Région Parisienne or “Paris Region” since it is centred on the country’s capital, Paris. It is located in the north-central region of the country. The Île-de-France region is heavily populated and maintains a leading economic position in France.
Titane’s production was required to alter its work plan to the regulations in effect due to particularly specific hygienic requirements associated to COVID-19.
The film was shot in four Paris Region departments: the Hauts-de-Seine Prefecture (92), Claye-Souilly in Seine et Marne (77), Sevran in Seine-Saint-Denis (78), and Essonne (91) at the Evry Hippodrome, the Arpajon fire station, and the Fleury-Mérogis Departmental Fire and Rescue School (EDIS 91)
The Paris Region studio Mac Guff handled the special effects, which were an important aspect of this picture in which the main heroine, played by actress Agathe Rousselle metamorphoses as the sequences go.
