    Bill Oberst Jr. Plays A Priest In New Religious Horror ‘The Parish’

    New biblical horror film ‘The Parish’ is set to arrive on Video on Demand (VOD) and DVD starting March 16th , and it stars none other than Bill Oberst Jr., who is frequent of the horror genre. Working on stage and the big screen, Oberst has made a solid career when it comes to the supernatural. His films include ‘The Retrieval’ (2013), ‘A Haunting in Salem’ (2011), ‘Scream at the Devil’ (2014), ‘At Granny’s House’ (2015), and many more. Getting added to his resumé is Mighty Tripod Productions and Uncork’d Entertainment’s ‘The Parish,’ which looks like it is ready to give the audience a good scare.

    Trailer breakdown of the film

    The trailer follows a mother-daughter duo who moves to a new town following the death of the father. The child seems disturbed and haunted by the fact that her father is gone, and when she starts acting strange, her teacher suggests counselling to the mother. Instead, she holds off on the offer and speaks to the town priest (played by Oberst). Soon, the girl befriends a strange boy, and both mother and daughter start getting stalked by a creepy nun who seems hellbent on protecting some secret. Struggling with constant nightmares regarding her husband’s grisly death, the mother, together with the priest, try and do everything in their power to fight off the evil and protect the daughter.
