Where Can I Watch The Haddonfield Nightmare?

Directed by Branden Timmons, The Haddonfield Nightmare is a horror thriller. Its screenplay is written by Misael Barrientos, John Carpenter, Debra Hill, and Branden Timmons. It is a fan-made film set in the Halloween H20 universe.

Set 22 years after the events of Halloween H20: 20 Years Later, the movie sees John Tate come face to face once again with Michael Myers, who had been in pursuit of John’s mother Keri Tate (or Laurie Strode) in Summer Glen, CA all those years ago in 1998.

For those who are not familiar with the H20 universe, now is the best time to catch up with one of the scariest guys to ever wear a mask and jumpsuit – Michael Myers. His reign of terror of sorts started decades ago and spans over a dozen Halloween horror movies.

The franchise was booted a  couple of times – in 1998 and again in 2018- and there is also a Rob Zombie remake of the original film. For new viewers, it might be difficult to piece together the chronology, but we are here to help you find your way.  Here are the movies from the franchise that you should watch before you catch The Haddonfield Nightmare.

The franchise begins with Halloween (1978), where we see a six-year-old Michael Myers kill his older sister with a knife. Fifteen years later he escapes a mental institution to return to his hometown Haddonfield and preys on unsuspecting babysitters, led by Laurie Strode.

Halloween II (1981), starts exactly where the first one ended. This time the audience learns that Michael Myers is not just indiscriminately targeting babysitters, but is behind Laurie Strode for a specific reason. For now, you can skip Halloween III (1982) since its happenings are not directly related to the storyline at hand.

Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers, picks up 10 years after the events of the first two movies. Laurie died in an off-screen car accident before the events of Halloween 4. This time, Michael Myers goes behind her daughter, Jamie Lloyd.

Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers (1989), sees Michael’s body (which was shot repeatedly and thrown down a mineshaft in the previous movie), wash up in a creek, where a man takes care of his comatose body for a year until he awake son Halloween night> He immediately kills the man and goes in search of Jamie who is in therapy after her last run-in with him.

Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995) shows Jamie as a prisoner of a cult, who forces her to bear a child. Jamie dies trying to escape but hides her infant who is found and raised by Tommy Doyle, who is the same boy that Laurie Strode was babysitting in the first movie.

And the last movie that directly precedes the movie at hand is Halloween H20: 20 Years Later. Michael Myers discovers that Laurie had faked her death and was living as the principal of a private boarding school. Naturally he foes after her, and arrives just in time for a Halloween family reunion.
