The Great is an American satire comedy drama television series based on occasional
historical fact -about the rise to power of longest reigning female ruler Catherine the Great, Empress of All Russia.
The fictional series proceeds with young Catherine focusing on the plot to kill her wicked and cruel husband whom she’s married to. The first series consisted of ten episodes and they were released on Hulu on May 15, 2020. The series casts Elle Fanning as Empress Catherine II and Nicolas Hoult as the Emperor Peter III.
