A Brand-New Look At ‘Faceless’ Poster Along With A Behind-The-Scenes VFX Footage

Blackbear Studios Production ‘Faceless’ is releasing on February 16th on Digital and March 2nd on DVD. Directed by Marcel Sarmiento, this film tells the story of a man who has been released prematurely from a hospital as he is still recovering from the shock of getting a new face after surgery. While he gets stalked by mysterious entities and haunted by terrifying flashbacks, he must find a way to make things right with the help of the only one who is by his side- a stranger named Sophie. After a recent release of the film’s trailer, we now get a look at a BTS VFX clip as well as the poster for the film.

What these new looks at the film tell us

In the poster we can see a hollow face that is uncovered after many layers of bandage and bones. At the very back of the face, a green-lit skull seems to be peaking at us and what seems more terrifying is that the face, although attached to a human body, does not seem to belong to a human at all as is evident from the lack of muscles after the face is cut open. On the other hand, the six-second behind-the-scenes footage shows how the team has made good use of VFX to make the protagonist’s distorted post-surgery face realistic.

Who can we expect to see?

‘Faceless’ stars Alex Essoe (‘Haunting of Bly Manor,’ 2020), Terry Serpico (‘The Purge: Election Year’, 2016), Brendan Sexton III (‘Boys Don’t Cry,’ 1999) and Kimberly Crandall (‘Clear Blue,’ 2010). Director Sarmiento is well-known in the horror genre because of the films he has previously worked on such as ‘Totem’ (2017), ‘The ABCs of Death’ (2012) and ‘Arbor Demon’ (2016). The film is full of gore and bloodshed as well as some high-voltage suspense. The horror film may have used the clichéd setting of a hospital, but in no way does the film lack any thrills.
