Discovery Canada is pleased to announce that award-winning actor Adam Beach will be the host of its all-new Canadian original competition series A Cut Above. Premiering in 2022, the series will see 12 talented hairstylists from across the country go head-to-head in a lot of challenges that will test their skills, creativity, and technique.
A Cut Above is a competition like no other, pitting 12 of the best chainsaw carvers in a test of creativity, strength, and skills. The carvers will compete in weekly Quick and Master Carve challenges, racing against the clock to avoid elimination. At the end of the competition, the carver who out carves the rest will win a cash prize and be named “A Cut Above
What is A Cut Above (2022) all about?
From hair up-styles and coloring to cutting and styling, each challenge will require the stylists to think in a unique way to put a unique spin on classic looks. At the end of each episode, one stylist will be eliminated until only three remain. The final three will then go head-to-head in a live finale, where they’ll compete for the grand prize: an all-expenses-paid trip to Los Angeles to attend an exclusive industry event.
