With Netflix’s new film A Perfect Pairing, pack your passport and get ready for a vacation to the outback. The film, which stars Victoria Justice as Lola and Adam Demos as Max, follows a young businesswoman as she travels to Australia in search of her new wine company’s first client. However, winning them over proves tough, and while she tries, sparks may rise between her and the station manager who is teaching her to work on the family’s sheep farm.
Elizabeth Hackett and Hilary Galanoy wrote the screenplay. Galanoy has also written two more Netflix romantic comedies, Falling In Love and Love, Guaranteed. Hackett and Galanoy collaborated on both of those films, making A Perfect Pairing their third romantic comedy for Netflix. The two also collaborated on the Hallmark films Swept Up by Christmas and My Best Friend’s Bouquet.
The film is directed by Stuart McDonald. He has recently directed episodes of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and the forthcoming Netflix film Choose Love.

A Perfect Pairing follows Lola, a Los Angeles businesswoman who abandoned her work at a wine firm to pursue her goal of opening her own winery. She travels to Australia to meet with Vaughn Family Wines in the hopes of expanding her client list, but they aren’t interested in dealing with her or her new firm. She starts as a farmhand on their sheep farm, which is tougher than it appears, to show that she is a hardworking employee who is worth their time and effort in choosing and working with her firm.
Lola, who works as an office executive, does not enjoy the labor, so a station manager named Max instructs her on various duties. The two become friends while teaching her, and love sparks appear to ignite. Lola and Max are played by Victoria Justice and Adam Demos, respectively. It’s worth noting that Justice has already played a character named Lola. Justice is most recognized for her roles in Zoey 101 (where she portrayed Lola Martinez) and Victorious when she was younger. Justice, on the other hand, has lately appeared in the Netflix films Afterlife of the Party and Quibi’s 50 States of Fright. Demos’ previous Netflix productions include Falling Inn Love and Sex/Life.
In addition to Justice and Demos, numerous more cast members have been revealed, however, not all of their roles have been confirmed. Nicholas Brown plays a character named Hamish, according to the film’s IMDb profile. Brown is most recognized for his appearances in Amazing Grace and The Unlisted. Korey Williams (Kong: Skull Island), Luca Sardelis (Nowhere Boys), Craig Horner (Once Upon a Time, H2O: Just Add Water), Lucy Durack (Neighbours), Natalie Abbott (Aftertaste), Jayden Popik (Woke), Antonio Alvarez, Samantha Cain, and Emily Haven are among the supporting cast members.
The actors and crew of A Perfect Pairing have a number of ties to their prior work. Hilary Galanoy and Elizabeth Hackett have already collaborated on four films, but they’ve also collaborated with Adam Demos. Demos played Jake in the film Falling In Love, which they jointly authored.
In his next project, the director of A Perfect Pairing is collaborating with one of Justice’s previous co-stars. Victoria Justice is well known for her role on Nickelodeon’s Victorious as Tori Vega. Avan Jogia’s most well-known roles are Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City and Zombieland 2: Double Tap. In addition, he plays one of the male roles in Stuart McDonald’s upcoming film Choose Love. This means the director has collaborated with two members of the Victorious cast on romantic comedies for Netflix. In March of this year, an interactive film called Choose Love was launched.
