A Super Bowl Special Episode Of SNL Will Witness The Return Of Beloved Wayne And Garth

In 1992, musical comedy ‘Wayne’s World’ hit all our funny bones, and now, they are returning to please some religiously devoted fans of ‘Saturday Night Live.’ The film was a spin-off of SNL and followed Wayne and Garth, who is initially pleased to get hired by a local network, but soon realise that their show is no longer the same. The film sits at an affirmative 86% ratings on Rotten Tomato and stars Mike Myers (‘Inglorious Bastards’, 2009), Dana Carvey (‘Jack and Jill’, 2011), and Tia Carrere (‘Showdown in Little Tokyo,’ 1991).

    Promotions are in full-swing

Uber Eats, a major sponsor for Saturday Night Live, has been heavily promoting this upcoming episode. Although not much is known about the comedy sketch, it is evident from the promotions that we will see Mike Myers and Dana Carvey reprise their roles as Wayne and Garth. It also seems as though they will be commenting on the “giant bowl,” hinting probably at the famous Super Bowl. We do not know if other cast members from the film will make a surprise appearance, but fans are excited for this episode, even if it is by no means a sequel to the great film.

    Wayne’s World films

Before 1992, Wayne was a recurring character on SNL episodes and fans loved him so much that they decided on making the aforementioned film. It even got a sequel in 1993, but it seems like that is the end for Wayne’s World movies right now. However, Myers has said that a “threequel” can most certainly be expected of another SNL spin-off film ‘Austin Powers’. He said that it did not matter what they worked on next or if they had any concrete plans for the near future. Still, it was important that their audience remains true to them and keeps showering them with the love that they have till now as that is all that determines the future of any SNL character or film.
