    A Wesley Snipes Cameo In The Reboot For Marvel’s Blade?

    Wesley Snipes from Marvel’s Blade Trilogy might return for MCU’sBlade in a cameo if the circumstances are right. He made his appearance as the half-vampire Daywalker in the Blade trilogy: Blade (1998), Blade II (2002), and Blade: Trinity (2004). The franchise grossed over a whopping $416 million worldwide, signifying Marvel’s first mainstream success in the box office.

    Fans are eager to see Snipes back on screen, currently on a promotional campaign for the comedy film Coming 2 America. During an interview, he spoke about how he was open to appearing in the Blade reboot. He has mentioned that he is open to taking another role in the film under favourable circumstances.

    Who will play Blade in its Reboot?

    Oscar-winner Mahershala Ali (Moonlight, 2016) will take on the titular role of the Daywalker. The announcement for his casting was made during the San Diego Comic-Con in 2019.

    Nothing has been set in stone yet. However, Marvel Studios is reportedly developing not one but two possible Blade projects. The MCU has also established its grand universe, with the last few films hinting at a multiverse. We know that Spider-Man 3 and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be tapping into the multiverse. WandaVision has been playing around with the concept as well. Since Snipes is associated with the development of the Blade projects, the multiverses could reprise his role.

    Release

    At present, little to no information is available about MCU’s Blade. Stacy Osei-Kuffour (HBO: Watchmen, 2019) will reportedly be writing the screenplay. The film director is not known, and there is no news about when it will go into production. There is no official release date as well. However, Disney has set aside October 2022 to release an MCU project that is believed to be the one for Blade.
