Ti West, American film director, producer, screenwriter, editor and actor, best known for works like House of the Devil (2009), The Innkeepers (2011) and In a Valley of Violence (2016) is working on his latest project which is a horror genre movie about Pornography. West, who’s last film was 2016’s In the Valley of Violence, finally appears to be back from his sabbatical. The movie, supposed to be called X, has a script written by West himself.
What we know so far
So far, not much is known about the project, apart from the fact that it is about the making of a porn movie. Indie movie studio A24 is the one of the players backing the project. A24 is famous for films like A Ghost Story, Midsommar, Hereditary, The Lighthouse and It Comes at Night. So far, the cast includes Scott Kid Cudi Mescudi (Bill and Ted Face the Music), Jenna Ortega (Scream 5), Brittany Snow (Pitch Perfect) and Mia Goth (Mayday). We expect the film to follow the theme and atmosphere of movies of the same genre West has directed in the past.

The team working on this film
As reported, production is supposed to begin in the first quarter of 2021. Studio A24 and Studio BRON, are supposed to be the ones financing the project. West’s last feature film In the Valley of Violence although applauded by critics all over the world, was undoubtedly a failure when we consider only Box Office numbers. He has since also written episodes for the smaller screen which include episodes of MTV’s Scream, Cinemax’s Outcast and The Exorcist and Wayward Pines both by Fox. Jenna Ortega, is currently filming the revival of Scream from Radio Silence and was most recently seen in Netflix’s horror comedy sequel The Babysitter: Killer Queen.
