Amanda’s entry to the world of entertainment began when Powerhowse/Silverstone records signed her and she released her first official album, “Where you at?” She has Mike Quinn to thank for noticing her and putting his money on her talent with her top 10 Billboard Single, Never.
Unfortunately for Perez, the album did not receive the same kind of love as her song Never. Realising the immense potential of the album, Virgin Records re-produced it and showcased it to a larger audience – resulting in the newly renamed album, Angel, making it to top 20 on the Hot 100 sales chart while ranking third on Top 40 Radio.
Amanda’s association with Mike Quinn has been remarkable. Four of her music videos were produced and directed by Mike of Silverstone/Powerhowse Records; they all appeared on MTV, VH1, and BET.
