When Is American Horror Stories: Instalment 2 (2022) Releasing?

FX is extending the American Horror Story franchise by releasing a second season of the spinoff anthology series American Horror Stories in 2022. The Season 2 renewal was revealed at FX’s segment of the summer TCA virtual press tour, less than a week before the Season 1 finale of American Horror Stories, “Game Over,” premieres on FX on Hulu on August 19.

On July 15th, 2021, the first chapter of the series, which consists of self-contained hour-long episodes, launched. The series was FX’s most successful Hulu premiere to date, according to the network. The first instalment had two episodes that tied into the first season of American Horror Story, “Murder House,” and totalled seven episodes.

Season 2 of American Horror Stories will premiere on Hulu soon. On social media, FX said that things would begin on July 21. It came as a pleasant surprise to fans of the long-running series. The announcement that there would be a second season of American Horror Stories came at the end of 2021. FX has heard the fans’ calls for more and is more than willing to deliver. When compared to its predecessor, Stories is an anthology series by design, giving viewers smaller experiments within the horror genre.

(There’s always American Horror Story: Double Feature for those who want a more longford approach!) However, with a slew of cancellations expected by the end of the week, FX must be pleased to have a crowd-pleaser on hand for those hot summer nights. That fanbase is still alive and well, and somewhere on the Internet, someone will be breaking down each spine-tingling horror. Take a look at the announcement below.

The series is described as follows by FX on Hulu: “Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk’s award-winning popular anthology series American Horror Story has spawned a spin-off called American Horror Stories. American Horror Stories is a weekly anthology series in which each episode will focus on a different horror story.”

“Since 2011, the AHS creators have revolutionised the horror genre with a spooky asylum, a coven of witches, a travelling freak show, a haunted hotel, and the apocalypse itself, among other instalments. The television series has spawned an army of devoted admirers who are looking forward to the next chapter’s horrors. Twentieth Television is in charge of the franchise’s production.”

The premiere timetable for these shows differs from that of broadcast series for fans. “”Episodes of new original shows and new seasons of existing series that premiere on FX and FXX will be accessible on Hulu the next day [12:01 a.m. Hawaii (HST) | 3:01 a.m. PST | 6:01 a.m. EST],” the network announced. Reservation Dogs, Devs, Mrs. America, and A Teacher are among the new Hulu originals that will be available at 12:01 a.m. EST on the day of their launch.”

American Horror Stories is a weekly hourlong anthology series created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuck, who also created the mothership series. Each episode has a fresh horror story, with occasional references to the original series. AHS alumni Matt Bomer, Billie Lourd, John Carroll Lynch, and Naomi Grossman have all appeared in American Horror Stories over the years. Danny Trejo, Aaron Tveit, Paris Jackson, Madison Bailey, and Virginia Garndner were also in the cast.

American Horror Stories had the most successful premiere of any FX on Hulu series to date, according to FX. The anthology’s renewal comes only days before the flagship series’ ninth chapter, Double Feature, airs on FX on August 25.

Murphy, Falchuk, Alexis Martin Woodall, John J. Gray, and Manny Coto serve as executive producers for American Horror Stories. 20th Television produces American Horror Stories.

Along with Loni Peristere, Manny Coto, Alexis Martin Woodall, and John J. Gray, Murphy and Falchuk serve as executive producers. Tanase Popa is a co-executive producer on the project. Murphy and Falchuk have also worked together on 9-1-1, 9-1-1 Lone Star, American Crime Story, Pose, Glee, Nip/Tuck, The Politician and Scream Queens.

Critical reviews for season one were mixed, usually leaning to the not-so-favorable side, but the show did well with viewers, becoming the most successful launch of any FX on Hulu series to date. American Horror Story series favourites appeared in the anthology including Billie Lourd (whose Ba’al episode proved to be the favourite among critics), Matt Bomer, Naomi Grossman and John Carroll Lynch.

Starting July 21, American Horror Stories will air weekly on FX, with episodes made available the next day on Hulu in the US. The 11th season of American Horror Story is due to premiere, but plot and cast information have yet to be revealed.
