    Summer reality plans are in the works at NBC. America’s Got Talent, American Ninja Warrior, the NBC return of Who Do You Think You Are? After a decade, the new competition show Dancing with Myself all had premiere dates established by the network today.

    From 8-10 p.m., Season 17 of the summer phenomenon America’s Got Talent will premiere. The series debut of Dancing with Myself, a competition whose dance creators include Nick Jonas and Shakira, will air on Tuesday, May 31. Jonas took over for the previously announced Shaquille O’Neal a few weeks ago.

    Matt Iseman, Akbar Gbajabiamila, and Zuri Hall, the hosts, are back to broadcast the early-round action from San Antonio and Los Angeles in preparation for the national finals in Las Vegas.

    The ancestral-genealogical series Who Do You Think You Are?, which began on NBC in 2010 and aired for three seasons before being canceled, will make its network return on Sunday, July 10. The series was picked up by TLC in 2013, and it aired on the Discovery-owned cable network until 2018. At 7 p.m., the show’s 11th season will premiere.

    Plot- Matt Iseman, Akbar Gbajabiamila, and sideline reporter Zuri Hall host American Ninja Warrior, an athletic tournament. A high-octane obstacle course competition is the focus of the TV show. Season 13 will feature over 400 contestants and, for the first time in ANW history, the competition age limit will be decreased to 15 years old.

    Ninja Warrior is a rapidly expanding sport in the United States, with children of all ages participating in record numbers. The winner of the National Finals in Las Vegas will get a top reward of $1 million if they can complete all four stages. Competitors must advance through the qualifying rounds and semifinals to reach the finals.

    The 13th season of American Ninja Warrior drew 3.32 million viewers and a 0.50 rating in the 18-49 demographic. In the live+same day ratings, that’s down 2% in the demo and up 10% in viewership when compared to season 12. (including DVR playback through 3:00 AM).

     Due to the pandemic, NBC broadcasted two seasons of American Ninja Warrior last season, one in the fall of 2020 and the other in the summer of 2021.
