5 Anime To Watch If You Love Banana Fish

I’m amazed! Who would have imagined that Banana Fish, an oddly named anime series, would dominate 2018? It cannot be denied. One of the best animes of 2018 is Banana Fish. Everything about it is a stunning piece of art, including the plot, topics, realism, staging, and general caliber.

Banana Fish is such fantastic entertainment that it’s impossible not to want more. I thus suggest five different books in its place. I’m going to assume you’ve already seen Banana Fish. The shows listed here will undoubtedly satisfy your craving if that is the case.

    1. Bungo Stray Dogs

    Bungo Stray Dogs

Bungo Stray Dogs centres on the Armed Detective Agency, a team of expert detectives who frequently deal with cases involving the Port Mafia and who all possess literary-inspired superpowers. Banana Fish and Bungo Stray Dogs both deal with serious gang conflict, albeit Bungo Stray Dogs does so with a little lighter touch.

Additionally, characters in harsh anime series may have equally gritty exteriors. There’s more where that came from in Bungo Stray Dogs if you liked Banana Fish’s gloomy themes and also liked Ash and Eiji’s excellent looks.

    2. No.6

    No.6

Two young guys from very different worlds meet in both No. 6 and Banana Fish, and over time, they form a committed relationship. The person whose life has been largely trouble-free is drawn into a dangerous world outside of his own protected one and discovers that he feels truly alive this way, while the person whose life has always been chaotic and full of strife finds himself letting the other into his heart and letting his guard down a little. Although the characters’ actual lives are distinct from one another, their emotional trajectories are the same.

Fans of Banana Fish should choose No. 6 for one reason only: how it handles male relationships. Shion is well-off in No. 6, a city that The Treaty of Babylon established.

He meets fugitive Nezumi on the night before his twelfth birthday. Shion gets into difficulties with the law after assisting state fugitive Nezumi. Four years later, when Shion reveals No. 6’s sinister secrets, the two re-connect.

    3. 91 Days

    91 Days

Banana Fish and 91 Days are two incredibly uncommon anime series. They are uncommon in that they reveal subjects that are neither exaggerated nor softened, and they depict narratives that are very close to the limits of reality. These programmes are intense. They address topics that require serious discussion. These programmes are what you might describe as mature and honest at their essence.

Unsurprisingly, 91 Days is a story about getting even. Surprisingly, it’s not simply any tale of revenge. It’s a clever story with a tonne of humour and action. Well, it’s only reasonable given the mafia and gang motif involved.

Even light humour and drama are included in this programme. It still follows its intended course, though. The viewer is forced to cry a little bit as a result of how masterfully 91 Days lowers the curtains and efficiently tackles the issues it sets out to explore. Even though this show might not appeal to everyone, you should nevertheless watch it if you don’t want to miss an outstanding piece of art.

    4. Yuri!!! on Ice

    Yuri!!! on Ice

In 2016, Yuri on Ice was a huge success. It captivated audiences to the point of obsession, and it spread into popular culture. A lot of people were drawn to Yuri, and as a result, its products was in high demand both domestically and abroad. Yuuri Katsuki, a promising figure skater in his youth, is the subject of this ice-skating comedy series. He goes back to his hometown of Kyushu after losing the Grand Prix final. Whether Yuri gave in to the pressure of Japan’s expectations is up for discussion. Regardless, Yuri enters his family’s house, crawls into a hole, and begins gorging on pork cutlets.

Here comes Victor Nikiforov, a five-time world champion who chooses to coach Yuri for the Grand Prix of figure skating. So starts Yuri’s campaign for the crown. A young Russian skater named Yuri Plisetsky is determined to win the competition and train with Victor, so things aren’t going to be simple this time. Many anime include BL themes or are heavily based on sports and comedic elements in general.

Go to one of the other recommendations, Yuri, if you want something with a plot or tone that is comparable to Banana Fish. Unlike Banana Fish, on ICE doesn’t deal with any dark subjects. However, Banana Fish’s emphasis on a love relationship between two young guys sets it apart from other shows with similarly grim topics and is the reason that some viewers are drawn to it. Try this lovely substitute from the same studio if you enjoyed Banana Fish for its gay love story but don’t want to deal with drug dealers and mafia disputes.

    5. Gangsta

    Gangsta

The anime Gangsta… is quite energising. It follows shady cops, prostitutes, and the always-special handymen in the grimy city of Ergastulum, which may be set anywhere between now and thirty years ago. The tasks that no one else wants to perform are taken on by handymen.

A pair of handymen named Nic and Worrick collaborate to take on these chores and earn money in the process. When a new gang arrives and attempts to intimidate other gangs into leaving, they handle the situation but there was a woman who witnessed everything. They take this woman in rather than murder her.

Gangsta is a relentless action movie. Fights involving knives and guns are frequent. Since this is a seinen, or a show aimed at young boys, there is also some drama. But I believe everybody can appreciate this show. One of the main handymen is deaf, which is unusual in anime and adds to the uniqueness of the story.
